Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist
Job# 217TWDSDynaxys is seeking a full-time technical writer / documentation specialist to create and maintain Online Help, user and operations manuals, training materials and process documentation for multiple business applications. This individual will use existing materials, documented requirements, product testing and meetings with subject-matter experts to elicit the required information. The successful candidate will work with our in-house software development team and collaborate with training and quality assurance staff to develop effective, instructive and clear documentation. Proficiency with RoboHelp and Microsoft Office tools are required. Experience with eLearning tools and content creation is a plus.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Create and/or modify online help in both Windows and HTML formats.
- Prepares and/or maintains documentation pertaining to programming, systems operations and user documentation.
- Performs research necessary to define and write a set of documents, making decisions about scope, content, purpose and audience.
- Makes use of functional specifications, plus interviews with software engineers and other internal sources, to write documents.
- Translates business specifications into user documentation.
- Offer process improvement suggestions and assist with designing and implementing solutions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with other staff to improve processes, solve problems and resolve conflicts.
- Prepares and/or maintains presentations materials and other documents (Powerpoint presentations, meeting agendas) as requested.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of RoboHelp, Microsoft Word.
- Excellent written communication skills, demonstrated by correct user of grammar, syntax, punctuation and the correct organization of paragraphs, chapters, etc.
- Understanding of technical issues pertaining to software development, testing, quality assurance.
- Understanding of practices and procedures for software documentation.
- Organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Staff Accountant
Job# 214SADynaxys is a growing company that designs, builds, operates, and supports proprietary data systems and outsourced business process services in mortgage banking and accounting. Primarily a government contractor, we develop accounting and finance related systems and operate them from our Silver Spring datacenter for use by our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create, approve, and post general ledger accounting entries.
- Perform month end closing task.
- Must be able to perform detailed research and analysis on data mapping, account reconciliations, and GL variances.
- Report reconciliation and interpretation for client support.
- Support department cash management services.
- Respond inquiries and audits.
- Test / evaluate / verify new program operations and reports.
- Assist programmers in development and or modifications of programs.
Requirements:
- Initiative in creating and improving procedures and processes.
- Detail oriented, analytical, and independent.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- CGFM or CDFM certification preferred.
- Experience with customer and client service.
