XBRL
XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is taxonomy for the electronic communication and processing of business and financial data, based on the World Wide Web Consortium XML standard. It is designed to fulfill the need for a standard, flexible and widely agreed-upon technology for the collection and aggregation of business, internal reporting and regulatory data.An important feature of XBRL is that both humans and computers can read complex accounting and financial information at the same time. This is brought about by distributing the data with a set of tags that organize the information, validate the underlying business rules and also interpret the data to enable accurate and easy processing at the destination.
Dynaxys has developed a suite of tools and services around the XBRL taxonomy, called XABRA. XABRA allows organizations to integrate applications, develop business intelligence and meet regulatory reporting requirements across any application or operating system.
