Maryland Properties Mobile App

The Challenge

The mobile application market is flooded with real estate themed apps. However, the vast majority of these are aimed towards home buyers featuring information on the current “for sale” real estate market. Many investors and individual consumers are interested in property and tax assessment information for both residential and commercial properties that currently may not be listed for sale.

Unbeknownst to most, Maryland offers free access to an online property database that contains such information. This website has over 10 million visitors per month and is an excellent tool when in front of a computer, but is not always a convenient solution. With forecasters suggesting the internet will be accessed more often in the near future via mobile devices than PC’s, Dynaxys aimed to provide easier access to Maryland’s property information and to make it mobile so consumers could access it quickly, easily and while on-the-go.


The Solution

Dynaxys created an ad-free mobile app with an easy to access user interface by using the public database provided by the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation. It enables the user to view information about any property in Maryland. It combines mobile access to the State property database with enhanced features that are specific to mobile devices. Utilizing a mobile platform has definite advantages by allowing for various search mechanisms. With the Dynaxys application a property can be pinpointed without an exact address. The application also provides driving directions and navigation from the user’s location; as well as offers easy integration between app, email and web browsing and a truly interactive map. Through the mobile app, users are able to find information on properties in a much easier and user-friendly manner than through the traditional website.


The End Result

Anyone with an interest in a Maryland property has easy access to publically available information. Additionally, the mobile app offers more features, accessibility and ease of use than the traditional State of Maryland online database or many other real estate apps. Dynaxys will continue to maintain and update the app, adding new features regularly.
